Smooth flannel on top, thick sherpa underneath, and heat running through both. At 59 × 71 inches it covers you from shoulders to feet on the sofa, with enough left over to tuck in.

The LCD controller has six heat settings and six timer settings, so you choose how warm it gets and how long it stays on. If you don't set a timer, it switches itself off after 10 hours. A self-regulating PTC heating wire and an NTC temperature sensor keep the warmth steady, with overheat protection as a backstop.

The controller unplugs from the blanket, so the whole thing can go in the washing machine on a gentle cycle. The 6.9 ft cord gives you room between the outlet and the sofa.

Care

Switch off and unplug, then detach the controller from the blanket. Machine wash on a gentle cycle with mild detergent, no bleach. Dry as shown on the care label, and make sure the blanket is completely dry before you reconnect the controller. Don't iron or dry clean.
