Safety & care
Before first use
Unfold the blanket fully and check the cord and controller for damage. Connect the controller to the blanket so it's firmly seated, then plug it into a wall outlet. Don't use an extension cord or a voltage converter.
Using it
- Choose a heat setting on the LCD controller. Start in the middle and adjust from there.
- Set a timer if you like. Without one, the blanket switches itself off after 10 hours.
- Keep it flat over you. Don't fold it, bunch it, tuck it in or sit on the controller while it's on.
- Don't use it under another heavy blanket, or with pins or clips through it.
- Not for infants, young children, pets, or anyone who can't feel heat or operate the controller.
- If you have a pacemaker, diabetes, poor circulation or reduced sensation, ask your doctor before using a heated blanket.
- Stop using it if you notice scorching, an exposed wire, or a controller that gets hot.
Washing
- Switch off and unplug from the wall, then detach the controller from the blanket. The controller never goes in water.
- Machine wash on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. No bleach.
- Dry as shown on the care label, and make sure the blanket is completely dry before you reconnect the controller.
- Don't iron or dry clean it.
Storing
Let it cool, then roll or fold it loosely so the heating wires aren't creased. Keep it somewhere dry, with the controller stored separately.
